I can’t think of anything to write about today.
I’ve been mulling over the idea of writing a blog about post about it. Anyway, here we are, I guess. I’m doing it.
When, at first, I had nothing to write about, suddenly, I do.
When I was in junior high school, our English teacher, Mr. Peters, would have us to do a stream-of-consciousness writing exercise, If you can’t think of anything to write about, he said, write down that you can’t think of anything until you do think of something. It works.
He also told me to be “reasonable”. That was always the goal for me. I remember Mr Peters when I tell my students the same thing. I must’ve wanted better grades or something. It’s a piece of advice that I’ve held with me since then. I often forget about it, though.
Writing that I had nothing to write about help me write this. It’s always best to just start. You’ll end up somewhere that’s not where you started so you’re better off.
