Getting traction on YouTube is not easy. I thought I was doing it right, and things were looking good in the fall of last year. Since December, growth, as measured in subscribers and watch minutes, has really slowed down. I’m not sure what to do.

YouTube can’t be my full-time focus. I enjoy it and would like to get monetized. My vision is to have it provide some financial support to the business, a nice steady secondary income. It’s not turning into that as quickly as I would like.

Social media is difficult for me to engage with fully. I go through waves. It becomes overwhelming too quickly so I keep it at arms length. Well, I need to keep my phone at that distance to read it.

I’m looking for quick fixes, things with a high rate of return. I’m sure that the advice will be that you can’t look for an easy solution, that you have got to put the time and effort in, that you have to commit, and that you have to study what others are doing. I’ll have to see where it goes with what I’m capable of doing.

What would you suggest I do?
