One of the nice things about having a 3D printer and laser engraver at home is that I can come up with an idea and see it through fairly quickly. I sat down to work on something this evening and ended up making a mobile for a colleague who is going on maternity leave. The change of direction took all of ten seconds.
I was going to make some tea light lanterns. A YouTube video convinced me that it’s a manageable and potentially profitable product, so I thought I’d give it a go. It’s been a few weeks since I watched the video, and I only got around to looking into the idea tonight. As it turned out, it’ll have to wait a little longer.
My mind turns on a dime. I get frustrated with it but I’m not mad at it. Even if you don’t get to where you’re headed, starting toward something will always lead you somewhere. Tonight, I just needed to sit down at my desk to work on those tea light lanterns so that I could shelve the idea for another day.
