I’m not big on celebrating my birthday, preferring the day to pass rather quietly. This year, somehow, things came together to make it an especially good day.
A couple of months ago, I heard about an F1 Exhibition coming to Toronto. Today was the opening day. Hannah bought us tickets and we each booked the day off.
When we got to the exhibition, only a half hour late for our entry time, my sister and her husband were waiting there for us. They flew in last night and are staying for just the weekend.
Amazing.
We had a reservation for dinner tonight, which I thought was just for two yesterday. In the afternoon, I asked if it was for four. Straight-faced, all three of them said yes.
We arrived at dinner, only ten minutes late. My folks were there, too. All six of us were together for dinner tonight.
Special.
For two months, they all kept this a secret from me. I thought I was treating myself by getting an overpriced Mercedes hoodie at the gift shop.
