I haven’t forgotten about this friend of ours, who I have created. When given a moment, I often think about her, and wonder where’s she’s been and where she might be headed.
I’m at the laundromat, so I’ve got some time.
I’m going to call her Francine. I like the name Francine. My favourite names for women are all French in origin:
- Genevieve
- Madeleine
- Francine
- Emilie
I need a surname, though. Holloway? Carmichael? Gulamhusein? Walter? I don’t know. There are so many names to choose from. (Why aren’t any of the ones I’ve picked French?)
Maybe she doesn’t even need a last name. Maybe a letter is enough. But, there are 26 letters in the English language to choose from!
So, in this moment of indecision I’ll turn to you, dear reader. What should Francine’s last name be?
Be sure to keep up with me, Bernard Walter, by “liking” the Facebook Page. Things happen there.
