Every day, starting on May 1, 2021, I want to get rid of one item that I’ve been holding on to. This page will document the journey, with the hope that it’ll also keep me accountable. Nothing exciting, but an effort to make change slowly.
May 11, 2021 I gave my sister this camera but held on to the box. Now, it’s time to get rid of the box. May 6, 2021 Sweaters are incredibly comfortable but this one doesn’t fit anymore. It’s really nice, though. May 5, 2021 This shirt used to be green. Not that it’s not, I think it’s time to get rid of it. May 4, 2021 This one may seem a bit odd but stick with me. This water bottle has been sitting next to my bed for a few months. I put it there thinking it’d be easy enough to reach for if I wake up thirsty in the night. I drank from it a few times. I usually just get out of bed and get something cold from the fridge. May 3, 2021 I grind my teeth at night so I bought this mouth guard thinking it would help. I wore it for about a week. On my most recent trip to the dentist, we arranged to have a proper mouth guard fitted for me. My teeth have started chipping. May 2, 2021 I’ve had this suitcase in my bedroom for several months. I meant to throw it away sooner because it’s in a state of disrepair but Riel, my cat, decided to use it as a scratching post. May 1, 2021 I was saving this plastic bucket because I thought I would start composting with it on my balcony.
