How we’re seen

It seemed as though I was being reminded today that it’s easier to see the strength and good quality of others than it is to see in ourselves.

It started with an Instagram post from Adam Grant.

In the afternoon, a colleague of mine and I were having a discussion about the things we could be doing instead of our current jobs. We kept pointing out what the other person has to offer.

In the evening, I told someone that she is an artist and she replied by saying that she doesn’t think of herself as one.

Who is the real person, the one we see as ourselves or the one that others do? Who has a better perspective? Who is wearing the dark coloured glasses and who is wearing the rose coloured ones?
