I swam in the Atlantic Ocean today for the first time. Yesterday, we dipped our feet in but today we went all in. It’s quite salty.

The 3D printer is awesome. The rabbit turned out pretty nicely. It’s amazing to me that this sort of technology exists. The ideas that I have for what I’d like to print with it keep coming to me in a steady wave. I haven’t written any of them down.

Today, though, something else is on my mind for this blog post: is there a difference between a writer and someone who writes? It came up in a conversation with my girlfriend. I don’t quite remember the context but the question remains an interesting one.

Coming back to the city is always an interesting experience. Leaving is stressful because of the traffic but you eventually end up far enough away that your shoulders relax without you realizing it. Returning, the tension builds up slowly, a crescendo played by the streets of the city.

Is a mule half an ass?

I got a comment on one of my YouTube videos today that was a good reminder of why it’s important to put in the work. Complaining about the work that other people are doing is really easy when you aren’t doing the work yourself. I’m guilty of this.

Have some people grown up without consequences? I feel like I’ve been checked, in some way, for my actions ever since I was a child. Nowadays, I’m more responsible for those consequences than are others. I’m not able to forgive myself without having paid for my indiscretions.

    Sometimes, progress is imperceptibly slow.

I often think that I’m not getting anywhere with SANA Stationery & Gifts. I won’t have made a pen in a while or done any woodworking. I still won’t have prepared this year’s ledger or taken pictures of pens I’ve made. The website will still be in need of a few updates and I won’t have been active on Instagram.
