I’m forever asking Hannah if she can see my boobs through the shirt I’m wearing. I hold them like they need to be supported while asking. Every time, she says that she can’t. “Really? You can’t see my moobs?”

Not even a few years ago, if you would’ve asked me to buy a router, I would’ve come back with something to transmit the internet. It’d have multiple antennae and lights that flash green when everything is working the way it should. To set it up, I’d use a computer.

I’ve never been all that big on family events. Dinners and barbecues, weddings and celebrations, with my family have never appealed to me. I’d rather not go. My extended family gets along great, from what I can tell, but I can’t seem to find the same comfort in their company.

The last few visits to the shop haven’t been as productive as I would’ve liked. It’s been scattered. I’ll start something, leave off and start another something, and then leave that and do something else. The focus and commitment isn’t there.

When we were growing up, my dad had a section of the basement cordoned off with a brown curtain. My sister and I were not allowed there. Nothing nefarious was taking place – my dad used to have a side-hustle repairing electronics.

All I needed from today was time to sleep. After waking up, I went through my regular morning routine. Within a couple of hours, after a travel mug hit me in the face, I was ready for a nap.
