Where is the best place to watch the sunset near you?
You know, I can’t remember the last time I saw a sunset ’round here. The last sunset I recall is the one I saw while on an overpass in my hometown. That sunset is one of the best I know.

What would you title the chapters of your autobiography?
About five years ago, I started working on, what I called, a Collection of Recollections. I would sit down at my typewriter and write about something from my past. It was usually about people. I had intended to type it up on the computer and compile it into something whole and complete.

What is something you learned recently?
About a year ago, I started making pens. It was entirely new to me. I love it. My interest in woodworking has continued to grow since then and I have everything to learn at each turn.

What are the pros and cons of procrastination?
Procrastination is proportional to priority. My priorities are measured against an arbitrary standard of interest. What I’ll procrastinate on is entirely dependent on my mood.

What language do you wish you could speak?
French. Being a Canadian who has lived in a predominantly French-speaking province and who works in a bilingual school, I really should know how to speak the language. I’ve even given my cats French names! Same as when people speak French, I don’t understand what Eloise and Genevieve are saying most of time.

What is a song or poem that speaks to you and why?
Soon after getting my first car, I would drive to a neighbouring town to smoke cigarettes. It became a regular habit of mine. It was easier for me to stay awake later back then.

How do you show love?
Stationery. If I buy you a pen, I must really like you.

What’s a lie you tell yourself?
The problem with most of the lies that I tell myself is that I think most of them are, in fact, truths. What I believe to be true and what other people believe to be true can differ and that’s when things get a bit confusing.
