Once again, I’ve decided to blog under my real name. It’s time for me to start taking real ownership of my ideas, and not hide behind a pseudonym. Now feels like the right time to make the shift.
If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know that Hannah is pregnant. Soon after we found out, I asked if it’d be okay for me to blog about the whole experience, maybe even becoming something of an “Internet Dad.” My impression is that blogging should be okay.
It’ll be me who is experiencing fatherhood and who wants to keep some kind of record of it, not some “Bernard Walter.” How can I teach my child to be self-confident if I, myself, am hiding behind a pen name? Maybe not hiding, but certainly not taking full ownership.
Whatever the reason, now is as good a time as any to make good of my name.
