While riding my bike home from school today, I was hit by a car in a cemetery.

I followed him across a road that divides the cemetery. He effectively cut through traffic and I took advantage of it. He veered left once we crossed the gates, and I followed. We were cruising along, him in front of me, when me made a sudden decision to turn right. I was not informed and he didn’t see me.

I caught myself in the fall, landing on my feet. At first, I didn’t notice the damage to my bike, nor did I become aware of anything wrong with me. My handle bars were no longer in perpendicular alignment with the front tire. Buddy was gracious enough to offer to help me fix my bike by getting me some Allen keys, so followed him over to “the yard.”

He’s a manager at the cemetery.

One of his guys helped me align the handle bars, straightly enough for me to get home. I walked my bike out of the yard, then hopped on and rode all the way home. Once I parked the bike, I noticed some damage, which appears minor but may be more.

I think I’m okay
