I tried to publish a blog post yesterday only to find out that the website has been down for a while. What was meant to be a quick, 15- to 20-minute thing turned into me trying to figure out DNS settings with blurry eyes until about midnight. Somehow, I ended up getting it to work.

One of my biggest frustrations with work is that I feel as though it is taking up time and energy that I would rather spend elsewhere. Designing and 3D printing things is fascinating so I set myself a goal to print something each week for 52 weeks, posting videos of whatever I make on my TikTok account. Going to the shop regularly, working with my hands to build something grounds me. Wood turning is my first woodworking-love. With my 3D printer being at home, it’s easier for me to work with, but I’d really like to have the energy to be at the shop on weekday evenings.

Ultimately, it comes down to the decisions I make. At work, I can choose to embrace the frustrations or cultivate peace. The former being the default, the latter my aspiration.
