About three weeks ago, I went on a fourth! – that I got that far should be cause for celebration – date with a woman who I quite liked. She is nice, smart, and caring. If I were to date someone, she’s a really good candidate. Except, at some point during dinner she asked if I’m ready to date. She’s ready to date. I told her that I don’t know and would have to think about it.

A little girl, of about six years old, came running up to me while I was on yard duty on Friday at lunch. Her head was down, but she kept looking up to see if I was aware of her. In about three minutes, the results of today’s federal election will start coming in (CBC’s coverage here). In about an hour, the Toronto Blue Jays will try to win a baseball game. The Toronto Maple Leafs are left out of tonight’s festivities. And me? Well, I’ll be studying while all of this is going on.
It’s an exciting night in Toronto, the sporting, geographical, political, economic, and intellectual centre of Canada.
